Digital Youth Engagement is an NPCC programme which runs the YourPolice.UK Instagram channel for children and young people. It was created to develop a better relationship between young people and the police, to enhance (or for some communities, build) trust and confidence in policing, to safeguard young people and increase reporting of crimes and concerns amongst this demographic. This nationally-consistent approach allows policing to provide youth-friendly information and advice on a huge range of subjects that matter to both policing and to young people themselves, no matter where the child lives, or what resources their local force, schools or youth services may have.
