Brandon is an experienced digital forensic examiner, spending most of his law enforcement career as a police detective and digital forensic examiner. Brandon holds a Master of Science degree in Recording Arts – Emphasis Media Forensics as well as numerous digital forensic certifications. He is the Chair of the Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence and is a member of the IAI’s Forensic Video Certification board, IACP Cybercrime and Digital Evidence committee, NIST/OSAC Video/Imaging Technology and Analysis Subcommittee, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Science. Brandon is also an adjunct professor in the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Forensic Science Program and regularly provides digital forensic instruction to local, state, and federal law enforcement officers nationwide and internationally. Prior to joining Magnet Forensics, Brandon was a co-founder of Medex Forensics, where he helped digital forensic examiners and investigators determine the trustworthiness of digital evidence, establish when a video has been edited or modified, and recognise original camera video from synthetically produced media.
