Sarah joined West Yorkshire Police in 2008 and spent time at Kirklees District, covering areas such as Batley, Dewsbury, Huddersfield and Holmfirth. Has worked across both uniform and detective across all ranks and a keen focus on safeguarding throughout her career. Performed the role of Hostage and Crisis negotiator for the force CADRE, holding national accreditation for HCN and for Red Centre Kidnaps.
Moved to Leeds district in 2022 as Safeguarding Detective Chief Inspector. Since August 2024 posted as Detective Superintendent – Head of Crime and Safeguarding at Leeds District holding SIO PIP 3 accreditation for major crime.
