Hugh Nelson, a 27-year-old man from Greater Manchester who was identified by a national team dedicated to tackling new and emerging online threats in relation to child sexual exploitation. Nelson was investigated for utilising Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create Child Sexual Abuse Material of his customer’s victims. This investigation was a UK-first and tested the boundaries of current legislation.
